Sent through a portal, Niamh finds herself in the South, the Diamond Kingdom. The pleasant year-round summer climate has manifested into constant, baking heat turning the land to a desert with little or no rainfall. Water has become more precious than the Southern diamonds.
Niamh is rescued by Alferon, but her memories are gone. Is this lone desert dweller who he appears and why is he so particular about what she drinks?
Eldrin is determined to follow her South and so too are Lepoli and King Greylan which involve long and difficult journeys to cross this unfriendly terrain.
A wedding in the Southern Palace is the catalyst that brings them all together. With two moons appearing, the stage is set for the second part of the prophecy to be fulfilled.
